Ok, so let's do another movie, 'cause that turned out way cooler than I thought it would last time. So this one is my first steps off the plane at the South Pole!
I hope you enjoy this one as much or more than the first. I learned a few things on the first one, so hopefully this one is better. Also, you can kinda see a guy in this one shuffling me off the runway, so I may have been a little fast on the turns - be warned!
More to follow, probably tomorrow - its Friday Night in Mac-Town!!!

Dear Billy,
Thanks for taking the time to send this video of your party departing the plane when you first arrived. This is rather historic for our family, so I hope we will be able to keep it forever.
Let us know what the rest of your itinerary is, so we will know when to expect your return.
Thanks again for doing this Blog.
Love,
Dad

Hey Billy,
Love the picture of the actual South Pole, and Scott's cross. Thanks for all pix and info on your experiences. It is truely great following along. Stay safe and warm! My cousin Nicholas (the older one) just got his permit, so he is excited, and both he and AJ say "Hi" and think it awesome that you were at the South Pole!

Hi Billy,
What an adventure you're on! I would expect that, upon your return, the crisp Colorado air will feel like the tropics to you!
Thanks for the opportunity to catch a glimpse of your grand experience. Matt speaks quite enthusiastically of Dad's big adventure, and, was tickled to bits to arrive home from school to find a package, from as far away as a package could travel, on his doorstep.
Thanks for keeping us posted.
Take care and stay toasty,
Kim
PS - Hope this reaches you. I'm not Blog savvy
Hey Billy,
The video of you getting off thr plane is great -- I was able to show that and some of your pics to my kindergartners at school (Did I tell you we were studying Antarctica when you left?). To them Antarctica is some snowy, mythical place that, because it's on the bottom of our globe, is actually upside down in real life, too.
Matt got the t-shirt, stickers and calendar a few weeks ago and your South Pole postcard the other day. It's such a cool thing for him to get those -- he's taken both the letter and the postcard them to school to shown to his class.
Hope you're doing well! Matt is looking forward to your return home -- he's been talking about it a lot and misses you a ton.
Katie
Dear writer of antarctica - my coolest job on earth
Let me introduce myself, I am a college art student and I have been following your blog on Antarctica, along with some others, for a while now. I have recently been contemplating illustrating a short piece (a few pages) about Antarctica and I was wondering if you, someone who has experienced it for themselves, would have any insightful tips to give me either about the environment there, the people, the stations or anything else that you think people should be aware of. Any insights about Antarctica that you could possibly give me for this project would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

p.s. I want to thank you for blogging all about your adventures in Antarctica. I find it all so fascinating. Thanks, again! =)
